A blaze erupted at a storage facility belonging to a local garment in the Kashimpur area of Gazipur on Saturday morning.
No injuries or fatalities have been documented to date.
The carton storage facility caught fire at approximately 11 am in the Paschim Shoildubi locality, according to Ariful Islam, an official with the Kashimpur Fire Service.
Nine firefighting units from the Fire Service are currently deployed to bring the inferno under control.
Ariful noted that the presence of a substantial volume of vacant cardboard boxes within the storage building contributed to the severity of the blaze.
Nonetheless, the origin of the fire could not be ascertained right away.
