Joypurhat

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) forces and local communities have successfully repelled a series of coordinated attempts by India's Border Security Force (BSF) to push individuals across the international border into Bangladeshi territory, with recent interceptions recorded across Lalmonirhat, Joypurhat, Sylhet and Sherpur. The latest confrontations unfolded early Saturday morning.  In Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat, BSF personnel attached to the 98th Battalion's Khorkhoria camp attempted to drive three women through a gate in the border security fence near international pillar 833/9-S under the Dhabalsuti Border Outpost (BOP).  Alerted BGB patrols from the Tiesta Battalion (61 BGB) moved quickly to block the entry point.  Lalmonirhat border.
