Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus called for international cooperation and partnership at the 30th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) 2026, describing the event as a vital platform for showcasing Bangladesh’s economic potential to the world.

In a message delivered on Wednesday to mark the opening of the month-long fair, Professor Yunus emphasized the interim government's firm commitment to maintaining economic stability and fostering growth. He extended his greetings to all participants, including domestic and foreign entrepreneurs, investors, and buyers.

The Chief Adviser highlighted that the DITF plays a crucial role in expanding Bangladesh’s export footprint.

He noted that the fair serves as a two-way learning hub: while local entrepreneurs present high-quality "Made in Bangladesh" products to a global audience, they also gain insights into international quality standards, designs and emerging global trends.

“The interim government has remained firmly committed to safeguarding economic stability and fostering the desired growth . . . . This fair is a unique initiative that showcases Bangladesh’s immense potential on the global stage,” the chief adviser said.

Beyond immediate trade, the Chief Adviser expressed hope that DITF 2026 would stimulate broader economic activity, create employment opportunities, and strengthen the country’s overall export base.

“I believe that by promoting local products, encouraging diversification, and attracting foreign investment, the fair will play an important role in driving national development,” he said.

Concluding his message, Professor Yunus wished for the fair's "every success," envisioning it as a vibrant, festive, and buyer-friendly occasion that benefits all stakeholders involved in the nation's progress.
