The Election Commission has released the results for four centers in the Jagannath University Central Students' Union (JnUCSU) elections.
Early tallies show the Shibir-backed 'Odommo Jobian Oikya' panel leading in most positions, including the top three.
The results began being announced around 7:30 AM on Wednesday (January 7).
Leading Candidates at a Glance
Based on the results from the four centers, the following candidates are currently ahead:
| Position | Leading Candidate (Panel) | Votes | Nearest Rival (Panel) | Votes |
| VP | Riazul Islam (Shibir) | 428 | AKM Rakib (Chatra Dal) | 394 |
| GS | Abdul Alim Arif (Shibir) | 419 | Khadijatul Kubra (Chatra Dal) | 206 |
| AGS | Masud Rana (Shibir) | 408 | Atiqur Rahman Tanzil (Chatra Dal) | 338 |
While the Shibir-backed panel holds a lead in the top three and most secretarial positions, Jatiyatabadi Chatra Dal (JCD) candidates are currently leading in the Library Secretary and Cultural Secretary posts. Several JCD candidates are also performing strongly in Executive Member positions.
Delays and Counting Process
The vote-counting process faced significant delays due to technical glitches. Although counting eventually resumed using both manual and machine methods, progress has been slow.
After a three-hour suspension on Tuesday night, counting resumed around 12:45 AM.
However, as of 7:00 AM today, results for only four centers—Anthropology, Public Administration, Geography, and Pharmacy—have been completed. Results for 35 remaining centers are still pending.
