SSC and Equivalent Results Tomorrow, Re-scrutiny Application Starts August 11

The results of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will be published tomorrow, Monday (August 10).

Examinees will be able to check their results via SMS, as well as through the websites of the respective education boards and two central websites.

Professor Dr. Syed Akteruzzaman, President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, confirmed the matter on Saturday (August 8).

He stated that results will be published on the websites of all education boards. Students can view their results from their respective board websites.

Additionally, results can be accessed centrally via eduboardresult.gov.bd and educationboardresults.gov.bd.

How to Check Results via SMS
Examinees can check their SSC and equivalent results via SMS using any mobile operator.

To do this, go to the mobile message option and type SSC, followed by a space, the first three letters of the respective education board name, a space, the candidate's roll number, and a space for the YEAR, then send it to 16140.

For candidates under the Dhaka Education Board, the SMS format will be SSC DHA ROLL YEAR.

For Dakhil examinees under the Madrasah Education Board, it will be SSC MAD ROLL YEAR, and for SSC (Vocational) examinees under the Technical Education Board, the format will be SSC TEC ROLL YEAR.

Sending this information to 16140 will return the exam result via a reply SMS.

Notably, this year's SSC and equivalent exams began on April 21. Written exams for SSC under general education boards ended on May 20.

Meanwhile, the written portion of the Dakhil exams under the Madrasah Education Board and the SSC (Vocational) exams under the Technical Education Board concluded on May 24.

Typically, SSC and equivalent results are published within 60 days of the completion of written examinations. By that timeline, results were expected by July 20.

However, the results are being published approximately three weeks past the scheduled timeframe this year.

A total of 1,857,344 students filled out registration forms to participate in this year's SSC and equivalent examinations. Among them, 1,418,398 students participated in the SSC exams under the nine general education boards.

For the Dakhil exams under the Madrasah Education Board, 304,286 students filled out forms, while 1,34,660 students took part in the SSC (Vocational) exams under the Technical Education Board.

Of the total examinees, 930,305 are male students and 927,039 are female students.

Applications for Result Re-scrutiny from August 11
If any candidate is dissatisfied with their obtained marks after the publication of results, they can apply for re-scrutiny.

Online applications will be accepted from August 11 to August 17.

The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee announced this information in a notice on Saturday (August 8).

The notice stated that online applications for re-scrutiny of the 2026 SSC and equivalent exam results can be submitted from August 11 to August 17.

The application process and related guidelines will be published on the websites of the respective education boards.

After publication, examinees can check their results through three primary methods:

Education Board Websites: Results can be viewed by accessing the website of each respective education board.

Central Websites: Results can also be found at: eduboardresult.gov.bd and educationboardresults.gov.bd.

SMS: Results can be obtained by sending an SMS in the specified format from any mobile network to 16140.

Schedule for 2027 SSC Exams Published

The 2027 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will commence on January 7 next year. This decision has been taken to save students' valuable time and align with the international education calendar. The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee has stated that the exams will be held as scheduled and there is no scope to postpone the timetable. Professor Syed Akteruzzaman, Chairman of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Dhaka Education Board, stated that the 2027 SSC exams will begin at the scheduled time announced by the government. Prior to that, institutions have been instructed to complete the designated syllabus and conduct the test examinations. According to the government's 2026 academic calendar, the SSC test or selective examinations are scheduled to be held from October 28 to November 10. The results of the tests must be published by November 18. Consequently, students will get nearly two months of time to prepare for the SSC exams after the conclusion of the test exams. However, compared to previous years, the preparation time has decreased slightly. Typically, students receive two and a half to three months of preparation time after finishing their selective examinations. Pre-test exams have already concluded in various educational institutions across the country. Many institutions are preparing to finish their curricula ahead of schedule and conduct test examinations by mid-October. Female Students Surpass Male Counterparts in this Year’s SSC Results

Female students have demonstrated superior academic performance in this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations, consistently outperforming male candidates in both overall pass rates and the attainment of top-tier grades. Data from the results shows that female students achieved a pass rate of 66.68 percent, with 607,939 of the 911,791 girls who participated in the exams successfully passing. In contrast, male candidates recorded a pass rate of 57.86 percent; out of 917,694 boys who sat for the tests, 530,938 qualified. This performance gap indicates that the female pass rate was 8.82 percentage points higher than that of their male peers.
