Today (Feb 13) remarks the 12th death anniversary of celebrated actor and theatre activist Humayun Faridi. The noted actor was born on 29 May 1952.
Faridi was one of the brightest stars in the sky of the country’s silver screen. He earnd the National Film Award in 2004, was awarded with posthumous Ekushey Padak for the year 2018.
Humayun Faridi acted most popular films includes “Hulia”, “Dohon”, “Shontrash”, “Bachelor”, “JoyJatra”, “Shamolchaya”, “Ekattorer Jishu”, “Vondo”, “Mayer Odhikar” and “Bishaw Premik” earned huge response and those will keep him alive in the hearts of art-loving people. He won the hearts of millions by his work.
The celebrated actor breathed his last on 13 February in 2012.

Aniqa Alam to Represent Bangladesh in Miss Universe
International makeup artist Aniqa Alam will represent Bangladesh in this year's Miss Universe. After a gap of three years, she will represent Bangladesh in this event. But Anika has been finalized through selection and not competition.

Managing Director of the organization Mostafa Rafiqul Islam said Aniqa Alam is not only an international makeup artist, but she is also a strong voice for women's empowerment, and a devoted mother.

The 'Miss Universe 2024' pageant is going to be held in Mexico. Aniqa will leave Dhaka to participate there on October 30. The grand finale of the event is scheduled to be held on November 15 or 18.
Incidentally, Aniqa completed her studies in Political Science at Loyola Marymind University. After completing her degree, she also worked in the Los Angeles Mayor's office. Currently, she is working intensively with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially 'Zero Hunger'.

Warner Bros is in the early stages of developing a Game of Thrones movie, potentially bringing George R.R. Martin's sprawling fantasy world to the big screen for the first time, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project is in the very early stages of development at Warner Bros, with no cast, director, or writers attached at this point.
It also hasn't been confirmed whether the film will be a direct continuation of the hit HBO series, which concluded in 2019 after eight seasons, or an entirely new spin-off set in the world of Westeros.
Earlier this year, Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss revealed that they originally wanted to conclude the mammoth fantasy show with a trilogy of movies instead of spreading the final 13 episodes across two seasons.
HBO’s then-owners, AT&T, also asked the pair if Game of Thrones could be shot vertically so it could be watched on phones, and discussed the idea of "snackable" mini-episodes.
"Dysfunction kills more projects than anything else, whether it’s interpersonal dysfunction or institutional dysfunction," Weiss said about the behind-the-scenes clashes.
Benioff added: "When you sign a five-year deal with a company, you want that company to be stable so you can be left alone to do your work and not have to worry about it being bought by the phone company. Finding the smoothest ride in the ocean was key."
The Game of Thrones universe has already been expanded onscreen with the prequel series House of the Dragon, which has aired two seasons and has been renewed for a third.
Prequel show Ten Thousand Ships is also being revived with a new creative team after previously being shelved by HBO, while another spin-off, titled The Hedge Knight, is also in the works.
