It is Shah Rukh Khan's 59th birthday. The talented, charming, and undisputed 'king of Bollywood' does not need an introduction. The superstar has captivated audiences with his charismatic performances not only in India but also across the globe. He is one of the most celebrated actors, with an enormous fan following. His dimpled smile, exceptional acting prowess, and romantic hero image have made him a household name in countries far beyond his homeland.

Hailing from a middle-class family in Delhi, SRK faced financial struggles during his initial days. Dil Se (1998)

Shah Rukh plays a radio broadcaster, attracted to an unknown woman, forming the crux of the story. The tragic plot left the audience crying at the end when the lead pair expressed their love for each other.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998)


Rahul Khanna made fans fall for him with his cuteness and fun antics whereas Anjali (played by Kajol) remains one of the most favorite characters of many fans. While the two friends end up getting married, it breaks our hearts to see Aman (played by Salman Khan) left alone in the process.

Main Hoon Na (2004)
The film featured Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen, Suniel Shetty, Amrita Rao, Zayed Khan, and Kirron Kher in lead roles. Major Ram goes on a mission to protect General Bakshi’s daughter in this action thriller while also working on Project Milaap. By the end, he also gets united with his mother and younger brother.

Don (2006)
Released in 2006, this movie is a remake of the 1978 film of the same name. It features SRK as Vijay Pal, a lookalike to the criminal mastermind known as Don. After the original Don is injured in a chase, the lookalike is tasked to gather information about Don’s mafia family.

Baadshah (1999)
This 90s film is an action comedy, a loose remake of 1995’s Nick of Time (starring Johnny Depp). SRK stars as Raj, who also calls himself Baadshah. Often relying on gadgets to solve cases, he is a detective agent in Mumbai with whom you are bound to fall in love.

Om Shanti Om (2007)


It was a critical and commercial success, beautifully portraying the movie-making journey, with some elaborate song-and-dance numbers adding to its already intriguing screenplay and direction. The film picked up 13 nominations at the 53rd Filmfare Awards and won Best Special Effects and Best Female Debut (Deepika Padukone).
