Bangladesh recorded three additional child fatalities exhibiting symptoms consistent with measles over the 24-hour period leading up to 8 am on Saturday, elevating the nation's combined tally of confirmed and suspected measles-related deaths to 753.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) officially classified these latest fatalities as suspected measles deaths.

With this recent update, the total number of suspected measles deaths has advanced to 660, whereas the count of laboratory-confirmed measles fatalities remained steady at 93, bringing the overall death toll to the updated aggregate.

Measles Toll Reaches 750 in Bangladesh as 3 More Children Die

During the same 24-hour timeframe, health authorities logged 702 new suspected cases, lifting the cumulative number of suspected infections nationwide to 110,601.

Additionally, 84 new laboratory-confirmed cases were registered, bringing the total count of confirmed infections to 13,410.

According to comprehensive DGHS data tracking the outbreak since March 15, a total of 93,491 patients presenting with suspected measles symptoms have been hospitalized across the country, of whom 89,762 individuals have successfully recovered.
