Dengue Fatalities Reach 47 as 3 More Succumb and 512 Hospitalised

Three more fatalities from dengue fever were recorded alongside 512 new hospital admissions across the country during the 24-hour period ending at 8 am on Tuesday.

The latest fatalities have pushed the overall dengue death toll in Bangladesh to 47 since the beginning of the year, according to official data released by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The latest casualties occurred in the Chattogram and Rajshahi divisions, health officials confirmed.

Over the same 24-hour timeframe, medical facilities nationwide discharged 532 recovered patients following successful treatment.

Statistics compiled by the DGHS show that a cumulative total of 14,156 individuals suffering from dengue have been admitted to hospitals across the nation since January 1.

Out of those hospitalised, 13,009 patients have made a full recovery and been discharged, whereas 1,034 patients remain admitted and are receiving medical care at present.
