Two more children died of measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours, according to a press release from the control room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The release noted that while two individuals succumbed to measles symptoms over the past 24 hours, a total of 831 children have died of measles symptoms between March 15 and August 22.

It added that no deaths were recorded from confirmed measles in the last 24 hours, though 99 people have died of confirmed measles since March 15.

A total of 815 patients exhibiting measles symptoms were reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the overall tally of patients with measles symptoms to 148,406 between March 15 and August 22.

The number of confirmed measles cases recorded in the last 24 hours stood at 65, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 18,273 since March 15.

From March 15 to August 22, a cumulative total of 129,583 patients with measles symptoms were admitted to hospitals.

During the same period, 125,151 patients recovered and were discharged from hospital facilities.
