Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has stated that a path toward a compromise with the United States will become easier only if Lebanon's territorial integrity is protected and all Israeli attacks on the country cease, according to a report by Shafaq News.

In a message addressed to Hezbollah on Sunday, Khamenei emphasized that safeguarding Lebanon’s sovereignty remains one of Iran's top priorities.

Meanwhile, Al Arabiya reported that Iran informed Pakistani officials it has not walked away from talks with the U.S., though discussions are currently on hold. Tehran reportedly expressed readiness to resume negotiations based on previous memorandums of understanding.

However, Iran has denied this report. Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stated that messages are being exchanged between the U.S. and Iran through intermediaries, though he did not comment on whether formal negotiations are taking place.

Previously, various media outlets reported that Pakistan and Qatar had put forward a proposal to restart talks between the two countries, to which both the U.S. and Iran had responded.

On June 26, Lebanon and Israel reached a structural agreement following five rounds of talks. The accord includes plans for the disarmament of Hezbollah, the redeployment of Israeli forces, and the pilot deployment of the Lebanese army in two specific areas.
