The Indian High Commission in Dhaka has urged people not to engage in any financial transactions under the pretext of securing Indian visas.

At the same time, it has issued a special alert advising individuals to avoid misleading temptations and fraud concerning visa-related matters.

The High Commission explicitly stated that none of its officials ever contact anyone via phone, WhatsApp, email, or social media to promise visas or demand any kind of money.

All applications related to Indian visas are processed solely through designated official procedures.

Consequently, citizens have been advised not to make any financial transactions under any circumstances upon receiving suspicious phone calls, messages, or offers.

Furthermore, the organization has requested that individuals refrain from sharing personal information, passport copies, bank account details, or financial data with strangers.

The High Commission's notification added that if anyone falls victim to such fraud or encounters such an attempt, they must promptly report the matter to the authorities.

Individuals are requested to send relevant phone numbers, screenshots, or other evidence associated with the complaint to the email address [email protected].

Additionally, the Indian High Commission has called upon the general public to exercise the utmost caution in any visa-related transactions and to raise awareness about this issue within their social circles.
