U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has issued a stark warning, stating that the largest aerial bombardment in history will be carried out against Iran tonight.

The Treasury Secretary made these remarks during an interview with Fox News on Friday (March 6), local time.

According to Bessent, the planned U.S. strikes are designed to inflict "maximum damage" on Iran’s missile launch sites and manufacturing facilities. "We are significantly neutralizing these capabilities," Bessent stated.

Economic Sabotage Allegations
Bessent accused Tehran of attempting to incite "economic chaos," specifically citing Iran’s strategic control and interference over the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil transit point.

Defense Secretary Responds to Russian Intelligence Links
Meanwhile, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth responded to reports suggesting that Russia has been providing Iran with intelligence regarding the positions of U.S. ships, aircraft, and radar systems in the Middle East. Hegseth asserted that the U.S. is "tracking everything" and incorporating those factors into its combat strategy.

Speaking on CBS News’ "60 Minutes" on Friday (March 6), Hegseth offered a firm reassurance to the public regarding the administration's awareness.

"The American people can rest assured—their Commander-in-Chief (President Trump) is fully aware of who is talking to whom," Hegseth said. "Whether it is happening publicly or in the shadows, it is being met with a forceful response."
