U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance stated during a briefing in Pakistan that a "clear commitment" is required from Tehran to ensure that Iran does not develop nuclear weapons.

Vance emphasized the necessity of a definitive assurance to prevent further escalation, stating:

The bottom line is that we need to see a robust commitment that they will not manufacture nuclear weapons. Furthermore, they must not seek to acquire any equipment or technology that would allow them to rapidly develop a nuclear capability.
