Putin and Trump Discuss Ceasefire in 90-Minute Phone Call

Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump held an extensive 90-minute telephone conversation on Wednesday to discuss the ongoing conflict and ceasefire efforts in the Middle East, according to a statement from the Kremlin.

During the call, the two leaders exchanged various proposals aimed at de-escalating the crisis surrounding Iran’s nuclear program and the broader regional instability.

In a significant diplomatic development, a Kremlin official revealed that President Putin also proposed a temporary ceasefire in Ukraine.

The proposal is reportedly tied to the upcoming anniversary of the end of World War II next month.
