
Several cocktails exploded consecutively at night in the Dhaka University campus.
At around 10:45 PM yesterday, two cocktails exploded in front of Jagannath Hall and one near the TSC metro rail station.
No immediate casualties were reported.
Dhaka University Proctor Israfil Ratan stated that they were informed of the incident. Police and assistant proctors have rushed to the scene and are working on the matter.
It is not yet known who carried out the incident.
Earlier on Tuesday afternoon (September 15), a cocktail exploded in front of the main gate adjacent to the Supreme Court road.
Shortly before that, International Crimes Tribunal-2 delivered a verdict sentencing seven defendants, including general secretary of the banned Awami League Obaidul Quader, to death in a case involving crimes against humanity committed during the July mass uprising.
Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed stated that the cocktail explosion incident in front of the Supreme Court is under investigation.
He mentioned that two perpetrators involved in the explosion have been identified through CCTV footage, and they could be miscreants belonging to the Awami League.
The government is investigating the matter.
