Police have arrested four individuals, including the alleged mastermind, in connection with the vandalism and attack on content creator Salman Muqtadir's "Brownfish Studio" located at the ECB Chattar area in the capital.

Mohammad Gias Uddin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Cantonment Police Station, confirmed the information on Sunday afternoon (September 27).

The arrestees are Shahriar, identified as the mastermind of the attack, along with Md. Mamun from the Vashantek slum, and Aslam and Munna from the Majumdar intersection area.

Mohammad Gias Uddin stated that the attack stemmed from a dispute between New Guinea Properties Limited—the owner of the studio's land—and other landowners in the area.

According to police, Salman Muqtadir had set up his studio by renting a floor from New Guinea Properties, which was heavily vandalized during the assault.

Earlier, Salman Muqtadir alleged that people arrived in two trucks late Saturday night (September 26) and carried out the attack.

Going live from the Brownfish Studio Facebook page at 1:45 AM, Salman said, "An attack just took place here a short while ago, and the entire studio has been destroyed."

Salman later added that the attackers' primary target may have been the building's owner, and extortion could have been a motive.

Addressing the incident, OC Mohammad Gias Uddin said, "New Guinea Properties had constructed a gate on that land, blocking access for others. Angered by the disruption to their movement, opposition locals went there. We have already arrested the mastermind, and our operations are ongoing to capture the remaining suspects."
