All previous decisions about university admission test cancelled

As the agitations of students demanding admission tests in the universities and reopening of residential halls have been got momentum, so all the previous decisions related to admission tests have been cancelled. Decision will be taken after discussion about admission tests as in which time frame the admission tests would be organized.

The minister said this while joining an emergency press conference through online platform on Monday. She said, classes at the classrooms will start on May 24 and the residential halls will reopen on May 17. So the examinees have to wait for three more months.

Educational institutions of the country have been announced closed since March 17 last year due to coronavirus pandemic situation. The closure has been extended up to February 28 in several stages. The education ministry has taken decision to reopen the public and private universities of the country as the contraction rate has turned in to downward trend.

The minister also informed that date of BCS examination application and examinations will be fixed considering the opening date of the universities. The decision of reopening schools and colleges will be taken after February 28.
