Bangladesh beat China to clinch back-to-back title

Bangladesh hockey team participated in the Jr AHF Cup Hockey Tournament 2024 with a mission to retain the title. Like the last season, the red-green representatives have been unbeaten champions with a great performance. Bangladesh defeated China by 4-2 goals in the final.

Neither team could score in the first quarter on Singapore's turf on Sunday (June 23). Bangladesh took control of the match by scoring three goals in the second quarter. Hasan scored two goals from the attack in the 22nd and 27th minutes. Amirul Islam increased the gap by scoring a goal from penalty corner.

After the break, China came back into the game in the third quarter. China's Jia Long scored a goal in the 33rd minute. Eight minutes later, Chen scored another goal from a penalty corner to bring the game back to fiercely contested.

Joy scored a goal in the 53rd minute to increase the gap to 4-2 before equalizing in China. Bangladesh touched the champion trophy of the tournament as there was no goal in the remaining seven minutes of the match.
