Amirul, Jimmy Shine as Bangladesh Defeat Indonesia 3-1 in Asian Games Hockey

The Bangladesh men's hockey team registered their second victory in the Asian Games hockey tournament by defeating Indonesia 3-1 in their Pool A encounter on Saturday.

Amirul opened the scoring for Bangladesh in the sixth minute of the first quarter before doubling the advantage with his second strike in the 17th minute of the match.

Russell Mahmud Jimmy extended the lead further by scoring Bangladesh's third goal in the 37th minute during the third quarter, while captain Aulia Alardh reduced the margin for Indonesia by scoring a lone goal in the 48th minute.

Prior to this match, Bangladesh recorded a decisive 5-1 win over Sri Lanka, following earlier losses to South Korea by 5-0 and host nation Japan by 6-1 in their first two pool fixtures.

Bangladesh will compete against India in their ultimate Pool A fixture on September 28.
