England intensified their attacks right after finding the equalizer, and the pressure finally paid off in the dying minutes of the match. Seizing the perfect opportunity, Harry Kane breached the opponent's defense once again, sending English fans into wild celebrations with his clinical finish.

With Kane’s brilliant brace, England secured a 2–1 victory over DR Congo to book their spot in the World Cup Round of 16.

Congo had taken an early lead in the match. In the 7th minute, forward Bryan Sipenga scored a stunning goal, assisted by captain Chancel Mbemba.

Cutting in from the left side of the D-box, Sipenga unleashed a superb right-footed shot into the back of the net, allowing the African nation to go into the break with the lead.

The English side came out with renewed determination in the second half, launching relentless attacks to get back into the game. However, they had to wait until the 75th minute to break the deadlock. The Bayern Munich striker headed home from an Anthony Gordon cross to level the score.

With just four minutes of regulation time remaining, Kane struck again to hand England the lead. Receiving a pass from Gordon just outside the box, he fired a powerful shot into the target to seal the victory for his side.

Congo fought desperately in the remaining minutes to restore parity, but the English defense stood resolute. Ultimately, England walked off the pitch with a hard-fought 2–1 win.

England will face hosts Mexico in their Round of 16 clash this coming Saturday (July 6) at the Mexico City Stadium. The match is scheduled to kick off at 6:00 AM Bangladesh Time (BST).

This victory marks the first time since 1966 that England have won a World Cup match after conceding the opening goal.
