Kylian Mbappe scored twice to lead Real Madrid to a dominant 4-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano, drawing level with Spanish La Liga leaders Barcelona.
Jose Mourinho's side displayed commanding football at home at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday night.
Alongside Mbappe's brace, Jude Bellingham and Alvaro Carreras also found the back of the net for Los Blancos. Meanwhile, Sergio Camello scored the sole consolation goal for Rayo.
Bouncing back from a previous stumble against Real Betis, Real Madrid started the match with an aggressive mindset.
In the 14th minute, Alvaro Carreras was fouled inside the box, earning the hosts a penalty.
Mbappe converted clinically to give Real the initial lead.
The French forward also played a key role in the second goal, setting up Carreras, who unleashed a powerful shot to double the advantage.
Shortly after, Jude Bellingham slotted home the third goal following a brilliant cutback from the left by Vinicius Junior, marking the English midfielder's third goal of the season.
Rayo Vallecano increased their attacking pressure after the break. In the 51th minute, Sergio Camello capitalized on a defensive error to pull one back for the visitors.
This marked his sixth goal of the season, putting him joint-top of the league's scoring charts alongside Barcelona's Raphinha and Mbappe.
Though Rayo tried to mount pressure, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois made several brilliant saves to keep Real secure.
In stoppage time, Mbappe sealed the victory, sliding home a low shot from Arda Guler's exquisite assist to register his second and the team's fourth goal.
Across all competitions, this was his seventh goal of the season.
With this victory, Real Madrid shares the top spot in the league standings, level on points with Barcelona.
