Severe Storm Forecast for 10 Regions Tonight

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a storm warning for 10 regions, alerting of strong winds and thunderstorms overnight.

According to a forecast for inland river ports, valid until 1 am Thursday night, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Cumilla, and Noakhali may experience temporary rain or thunderstorms with gusty or squally winds blowing from the west or northwest at speeds of 60 to 80 km/h.

River ports in these regions have been instructed to hoist Warning Signal No. 2.

Meanwhile, Rajshahi, Kushtia, Jashore, Chattogram, and Cox's Bazar could see similar weather with wind speeds ranging from 45 to 60 km/h.

For these areas, Warning Signal No. 1 has been advised for river ports.
