47 thousand 985 Hajj pilgrims arrived in Saudi

Airlines, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Hajj Office Dhaka and Saudi Arabia sources informed this information.

According to helpdesk information, a total of 121 flights have reached Saudi Arabia so far. Among them, 58 flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 38 flights of Saudi Airlines and 25 flights of Flynas Airlines. As on Tuesday, 56.6 percent of the total flights and 57 percent of the pilgrims reached Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, 8 Bangladeshis have died while performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia. Six of them died in Makkah and two in Madinah. Two people died in Makkah last Sunday and Monday. In the current Hajj season, he became the first Bangladeshi in Saudi Arabia on May 15. A pilgrim named Asaduzzaman died.

On May 9, the first dedicated flight of Bangladesh Airlines departed for Saudi Arabia with 415 pilgrims. With this, the official journey of this year's Hajj begins. It will end on June 10.

It should be noted that the Holy Hajj will be held on June 16 subject to sighting of the moon. The first return flight of pilgrims will start on June 20 and end on July 22.
