US Ambassador Brent T. Christensen is currently leading a delegation of 25 prominent Bangladeshi business leaders to the 2026 SelectUSA Investment Summit in Washington, DC.

The high-level delegation, which arrived for the May 3-6 event, represents a diverse range of sectors including technology, energy, agribusiness, engineering, and professional business services.

Hosted by US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, the SelectUSA Investment Summit is recognized as the world's premier forum for facilitating Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

PM to Announce Massive Fund for Closed Factory Revival

The summit serves as a strategic platform, connecting international companies directly with US economic development organizations to foster new business ventures and stimulate job creation across both nations.

This year’s summit carries added historic significance as it coincides with the 250th anniversary of the United States.

According to US Mission Spokesperson Poornima Rai, the event will highlight the pivotal role of foreign investment in driving the next era of American innovation.

For the Bangladeshi delegation, the summit provides a unique opportunity to explore expansion into the US market and forge lasting partnerships that contribute to bilateral economic growth.
