A total of 274 incidents of violence have been recorded over the past one and a half months in connection with the 13th General Election. These incidents include 15 attacks on candidates and five confirmed fatalities.

The statistics were released on Monday (February 2) in a press release from the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing.

Breakdown of Recent Violence
According to the report, the 274 incidents occurred between December 12 of last year and February 1 of this year. The data provides a detailed look at the nature of the unrest:

• Fatalities: 5 deaths.
• Clashes: 89 skirmishes between rival supporters.
• Attacks on Candidates: 15 recorded cases.
• Obstruction of Campaigning: 29 incidents.
• Vandalism & Arson: 20 attacks on election-related offices and institutions.
• Illegal Weapons: 3 reported instances of firearm use.
• Other Incidents: 70 miscellaneous cases, including blockades, demonstrations, and one reported attack on a minority group.
