Chief of Army Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman has announced that the Bangladesh Army will return to their barracks as soon as the newly elected government issues the relevant instructions.

He also confirmed that the additional forces deployed specifically for election duties have already been reduced.

The Army Chief made these remarks on Sunday (February 15) while addressing personnel of all ranks at a CAS Darbar. Members currently serving in UN Peacekeeping missions also joined the session virtually.
