Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu said that equal entitlements must be guaranteed for all citizens throughout Bangladesh, regardless of religious affiliation and ethnic background, encompassing Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, and Christians.

He asserted that the state is obligated to safeguard an atmosphere wherein individuals belonging to all faiths can securely practice their respective spiritual and social customs.

He delivered these observations while serving as the principal guest during a symposium and a Mangal Shobhajatra coordinated by the Shri Shri Gouri Shankar Society situated within the Lalmonirhat Municipality territory in honor of Janmashtami on Friday.

Dulu stated, "Ensuring equal rights for Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Christians, people of the plains and hill communities-all people-is our commitment. Our party also upholds this belief."

"We are neither right nor left; we are centrist. Therefore, people of all religions and opinions can live together with us," he appended.

He noted that it constitutes the duty of the state to guarantee the protection of minority populations.

Their theological, personal, and civic security must be assured so that no demographic regards itself as vulnerable on account of possessing smaller numbers, he further remarked.

"We are working with everyone to ensure the harmony and security of traditional Bangladesh," the Relief Minister observed, adding that throughout the administration of the current government, honorariums have been disbursed to Hindu priests, sebaits, and diverse religious figures alongside imams, with measures adopted to reissue the honorariums to all of them once more.

Concerning the advancement of the Gouri Shankar Society, the minister indicated that decisive steps must be implemented to preserve the organization's assets and secure their proper utilization.

He maintained that leaving such an expansive property unoccupied could generate the hazard of encroachment.

Exhorting the incoming committee to formulate a master blueprint, he conveyed that requisite assistance will be extended to execute developmental endeavors aligned with the plan.

"You provide the plan and let us know what work needs to be done. I will cooperate in advancing your development activities," he expressed.

Alluding to the expansion of diverse sacred sites and spiritual structures across Lalmonirhat, the minister mentioned that a master blueprint has been initiated surrounding the historic Sindhumati Dighi, which had persisted in a neglected and unmonitored state for an extended duration.

Improvement labor spanning multiple religious structures, incorporating Durga, Kali, and Shiva temples, is currently active at the location, he pursued.

He additionally noted that worship gatherings and spiritual festivals, alongside a fair, are conducted at Sindhumati Dighi.

Adequate security protocols have been established at the venue, he supplemented.

"Initiatives have been taken to develop the site into a more attractive and important pilgrimage destination," he explained, adding that a committee has likewise been established to supervise the operations.
