BGB Seizes BDT 12.12 Lakh Illicit Indian Liquor and Tablets in Kushtia Pre-Dawn Raid

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel seized illicit Indian narcotics valued at BDT 12.12 lakh during a Friday pre-dawn sweep in Kushtia.

Deployed upon targeted intelligence, a Kushtia Battalion (47 BGB) patrol unit executed the intervention at approximately 3 am within the Kazipur Border Para field under Kazipur Border Outpost jurisdiction, recovering eight bottles of Indian liquor and 4,000 cyproheptadine tablets left unattended.

Legal transfer procedures directing the confiscated contraband to Meherpur's Gangni Police Station are underway.

Battalion leadership reaffirmed intensified intelligence tracking and ongoing anti-smuggling sweeps across border sectors.
