U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that the ongoing war with Iran may conclude very soon.

In an interview with Fox News, Trump expressed optimism about the trajectory of the conflict. During a segment of the broadcast, he was heard saying, "I think it's close to over, yeah."

Emphasizing his point, the President added,

The remarks come as a two-week ceasefire continues to hold, with diplomatic efforts intensifying to reach a permanent settlement.

While hostilities have eased, President Trump noted that U.S. operations remain in a state of readiness, stating, "We’ll see what happens. I think they want to make a deal very badly."

Direct talks between U.S. and Iranian negotiators are expected to resume in Pakistan this Thursday, following a previous round of discussions in Islamabad that ended without a formal agreement.
