In a chilling development regarding the brutal murder of two Bangladeshi PhD students in Florida, court documents have revealed that the primary suspect consulted an AI chatbot to plan the crime and disposal of the bodies.

The victims, Jamil Limon and Nahida Brishti, were doctoral students at the University of Florida. Police have arrested Limon’s roommate, Hisham Abu-Gharbeih, in connection with the double homicide.

Incriminating Digital Evidence
According to court records cited by CBS News, Hisham’s search and chat history with ChatGPT provided investigators with critical evidence. The suspect reportedly asked the AI several suspicious questions both before and after the murders, including:

• Whether a vehicle's VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) could be altered.
• The legality of keeping a weapon at home without a license.
• Whether vehicles are "checked" at Hillsborough River State Park, located northeast of Tampa.

Crucially, on April 13—days before the victims went missing—Hisham asked the chatbot about body disposal, specifically inquiring: "What happens if someone is put in a black bag and thrown into a dumpster?" The AI reportedly flagged the query as dangerous and issued a warning.

Crime Scene and Discovery
The investigation gained momentum after Limon’s remains were recovered near a bridge in Tampa on April 24. Phone GPS data placed the suspect at that exact location on the night of the disappearance.

An autopsy confirmed that Limon died from multiple stab wounds inflicted by a sharp weapon. Investigators also noted visible injury marks on the suspect’s body at the time of his arrest, suggesting a struggle.
