Bangladesh thrash Thailand to reach final

Bangladesh started to play in the fourth edition of Bangabandhu Cup International Kabaddi Tournament with the aim of retaining the title at home. The hosts have also come to the brink of winning the title by performing well. The red-green representatives confirmed the final beating Thailand by 41-18 points with three creditable lonas in the first semifinal.

The first semifinal of Bangabandhu Cup International Kabaddi Tournament held at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium here on Sunday (June 2).

Earlier, Bangladesh won 67-22 points beating South Korea, 73-22 against Malaysia and 59-19 points against Indonesia.

Bangladesh defeated Poland 79-28 in their fourth match to qualify for the semi-finals. Bangladesh defeated Nepal by 46-31 points to become the top of the group with five consecutive wins.
