
The Bangladesh women’s cricket team received a hero’s welcome upon returning home after clinching the World Cup Qualifier title with an unbeaten streak.
The squad, led by Nigar Sultana Joty, secured the championship trophy by defeating the Netherlands by a convincing 7-wicket margin in the final on Sunday.
Upon their arrival late Monday night, the cricketers were greeted at the airport with flowers and sweets by Rubaba Dowla, Chairperson of the BCB Women’s Wing.

While Bangladesh missed out on direct qualification for the Women’s T20 World Cup—scheduled to be held in England from June 12 to July 5 this year—their dominant performance in the qualifiers has officially secured their ticket to the main event.
