In a high-stakes La Liga title race where every point is vital, Barcelona has extended their lead over rivals Real Madrid with a dominant victory against Mallorca.

The defending champions secured a 3-0 win at the Camp Nou on Saturday (February 7), fueled by goals from Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, and a maiden strike from teenager Marc Bernal.

Lewandowski Breaks the Deadlock
Mallorca started the match aggressively, testing Barcelona’s defense and goalkeeper Joan García early on. However, the Catalans clinical nature shone through in the 29th minute.

After a powerful strike from Marcus Rashford was parried, Robert Lewandowski pounced on the loose ball, evaded a defender, and slotted home his 10th goal of the season.

Barcelona nearly doubled their lead just before the break when Rashford’s pinpoint free-kick was spectacularly saved by the Mallorca keeper, only for Jules Koundé to fire the rebound wide.

Yamal Shines with a Screamer
Hansi Flick's side turned up the intensity in the second half. After being denied a penalty in the 48th minute, Barcelona continued to press.

The pressure paid off in the 61st minute when Lamine Yamal produced a moment of magic. Collecting a pass from Dani Olmo well outside the box, the young Spanish sensation unleashed a left-footed "bullet" shot that left the goalkeeper rooted to the spot.

With that goal, Yamal matches Lewandowski with 10 league goals this season, alongside 8 assists.

A Debut to Remember
The victory was sealed in the 83rd minute by 18-year-old midfielder Marc Bernal.

Coming off the bench in the 67th minute, Bernal collected a pass from Fermín López, drove into the box, and showed veteran-like composure to beat a defender and find the net. It marked his first-ever goal for the Barcelona senior team.

The Title Race Standings
Following their third consecutive win, Barcelona sits at the top of the table with 58 points from 23 matches.

Real Madrid follows in second place with 54 points, though they currently hold a game in hand. Meanwhile, Mallorca remains in 15th place with 24 points.
