Spain secured a spectacular victory by crushing Saudi Arabia 4–0 in a crucial FIFA World Cup match. The Spaniards dominated the game right from the kickoff.

A goal from young star Lamine Yamal and a brace from Mikel Oyarzabal effectively sealed the victory for the team in the first half itself.

Lamine Yamal opened the scoring for Spain in just the 10th minute of the match. With this, he netted his first-ever World Cup goal while simultaneously setting a new record.

He joined the legendary Brazilian footballer Pelé as one of the few players aged 18 or under to score the opening goal of a match in World Cup history.

Following Yamal's opener, Spain's onslaught intensified.

Mikel Oyarzabal scored two consecutive goals to extend the lead to 3–0, allowing Spain to seize complete control of the match before the halftime whistle.

Early in the second half, an own goal by Saudi Arabian defender Hassan Al-Tambakti brought the scoreline to 4–0.

Spain found the net once more during stoppage time, but the goal by Ferran Torres was disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) due to an offside position.

After a disappointing result in their opening match, this resounding victory gives Spain a massive confidence boost.
