The blockade program was organized at Shahbag in the capital to protest the quota reform in government jobs and the attack on agitating students has ended. The agitating students left Shahbag announcing the next program.

As per the announced program, symbolic meetings will be held on all campuses across the country on Saturday (July 13). After that, a press conference was held in front of the central library of Dhaka University at 6 pm. From this press conference, the next action regarding the movement will be informed.

The coordinators of the quota reform movement announced this on Friday (July 12) evening.

Earlier, around 5 pm, the procession under the banner of 'Anti-discrimination student movement' started from the central library of DU and went around various roads of the campus and stopped at Shahbag intersection.

In Shahbag, students are chanting different slogans like 'Sara Banglay Khobor De, Kota Prothar Kobor De', 'Jegeche Re Jegeche, Chhatrasomaj Jegeche', Quota protha, Batil Chai Batil Chai'.

Meanwhile, BCL leaders and activists have been gathering at Madhur canteen since noon. Top leaders of Chhatra League are also expected to come there. Chhatra League held a press conference on Thursday (July 11) and called upon the agitating students to return to class.

In the midst of police obstruction and attacks, students held a 'Bangla Blockade' program demanding quota reformation across the country including Shahbag in Dhaka from Thursday afternoon to 9 pm at night.
