State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat commented that those who committed violence are not students, they are third parties. The government has given clear instructions that not even one of the ordinary students, who helped the agitators to drink water, will be harassed.
The state minister said these things to reporters in his own room of the secretariat on Thursday (August 1).
Condemning and deeply saddened by the casualties, Mohammad Ali Arafat said that the government respects the sentiments of the students. The government respects the sentiments of those who are still in the field. But be careful that the third party does not take advantage.
He said, there was no order to fire on anyone who participated in the quota reform movement, including the police. Even then, if someone breaks the law on the spot, they will be investigated and action will be taken against them.
The state minister also said that the judicial process will be completed by forming a judicial inquiry commission in every casualty incident. If necessary, foreign experts will be appointed for further investigation.
