A Message of Relief About Ongoing Heat Wave

A mild heat wave is flowing over 5 divisions and 3 districts of the country. There is discomfort grabs public life. However, in the next 24 hours, the heat may decrease in some places, said the Meteorological Department.

This information was given in the 72-hour forecast given by the Directorate on Tuesday (September 24) morning.

According to the agency, a mild heat wave is flowing over Jessore, Chuadanga, and Kushtia districts along with Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions till 9 am on Wednesday (September 25) and it may subside from most places. Day and night temperatures may drop by (1-2) degrees Celsius in the whole country. Most places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions may experience light to moderate rain with gusty winds or rain with thunder. Along with this, moderate to very heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the country.

Day and night temperatures may drop by (1-2) degrees Celsius everywhere till 9 am on Thursday (September 26). Most places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions may experience light to moderate rain with gusty winds or rain with thunder. Also, there may be moderate to very heavy rainfall in some parts of the country.

Day and night temperatures across the country are likely to remain unchanged till 9 am on Friday (September 27). Most places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions may experience light to moderate rain with gusty winds or rain with thunder. Along with this, moderate to very heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the country.

According to the synoptic conditions, low pressure is present over the west-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas. The extension of the monsoon axis extends over Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, and southern Bangladesh to Assam. An extension of those extends to the northern Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderately active over the North Bay of Bengal.

According to the extended five-day weather forecast, the rainfall may continue.
