Former DUCSU Vice President Sultan Mohammad Mansur Ahmed has been detained. Early Monday (September 30), after returning from Canada, he was taken into custody by DB (Detective Branch) police from the immigration section at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police's Additional Commissioner, Rezaul Karim Mallik, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Post, stating that there is a specific allegation against him, and he will be interrogated regarding the issue. For this reason, he has been taken into DB custody.

In 1986, Sultan Mansur was elected the central president of the Bangladesh Chhatra League. In 1989, he became the Vice President (VP) of DUCSU. Under his leadership, despite various adversities, a portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was unveiled at the DUCSU building.
