Home Advisor Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury stated that no militancy-related issues have emerged in the country since the interim government assumed office.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday (April 2) during his visit to police stations in Khilkhet, Badda, Vatara, and other areas of the capital to exchange Eid greetings and inspect activities, he made this remark.
Addressing a New York Times report, he said, "I do not wish to comment on what any newspaper reports. However, at this moment, I see no cause for concern regarding militancy in the country."
He further mentioned, "After August 5, there was initially no government, but the situation has gradually improved. Now, everyone is working together. Our security forces are working tirelessly, and this progress will continue in the future."
He also clarified, "Many names have been mentioned in the FIR, but some individuals were not involved in the killings and were even abroad at the time. We are conducting a proper investigation, and no innocent person will be punished."
The advisor concluded by stating that his police station visits aimed to exchange Eid greetings with security personnel and check on their well-being.
