Five people have died and at least 15 others were injured in a collision between a passenger bus and a truck in Ghoraghat, Dinajpur.
The accident occurred around 4:20 AM on Saturday (June 14) in the Nurjahanpur area of the upazila.
Nazmul Haque, the Officer-in-Charge of Ghoraghat Police Station, confirmed the incident. However, the identities of the deceased and injured were not immediately known.
According to police and local sources, several mango-laden trucks were parked at the scene. After 4:00 AM, a Nabil Paribahan bus heading to Dhaka from Panchagarh lost control and rear-ended one of the trucks, resulting in five fatalities.
Upon receiving the news, police and fire service personnel arrived at the scene and rescued the casualties. Several of the injured were admitted to the hospital.
