Iran has unleashed a missile storm in the skies of its enemy country Israel. Iran has launched a volley of missiles against its adversary, Israel, reportedly firing 400 ballistic missiles and 1,000 drones, according to US media outlet CNN.
CNN, citing a senior Israeli army official, reported on Thursday (June 19) that since the Iran-Israel conflict began last Friday, Iran has launched approximately 400 ballistic missiles and 1,000 drones toward Israel. These attacks have so far resulted in the deaths of at least 24 Israelis.
Meanwhile, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement confirming they have launched long-range, solid-fueled ballistic missiles named Sejjil-2 towards Israel.
This launch is part of Tehran's "True Promise 3" operation against Israel. These advanced Iranian missiles are capable of accurately striking targets at distances of 2,000 to 2,500 kilometers.
The IRGC statement added that the launch of the extremely heavy and long-range Sejjil-2 missiles marks the twelfth wave of attacks under "True Promise 3." The Sejjil-2 is an indigenously developed Iranian two-stage, solid-fueled missile with a range of approximately 2,000 kilometers, capable of striking deep inside Israel.
However, CNN noted that it has not been able to independently verify Iran's claims regarding the use of this missile.
