Indian HC to gear up service for visa applicants in Ramadan

In response to the huge surge in the demand for Indian visas during the holy month of Ramadan, the Indian High Commission has taken additional steps to facilitate the visa applicants. Special provisions provided by the Indian High Commission in Dhaka include:

  • Increasing working hours from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. - visa application deposit time from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. and visa delivery time (passport collection for applicants) from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M.

 

  • Scaling up of display monitors and signage’s at IVAC center for guiding applicants.

  • Increasing manpower to guide applicants and manage their orderly movement to the respective counters.

 

  • Deployment of additional staff at visa application counters to ensure quick processing.

 

  • Dedicated floor managers to coordinate processing and delivery.

 

  • Special facility for senior citizens and war veterans (Muktijoddhas).

 

  • IVAC centers will additionally remain open on 17 April 2022 (Sunday), which is otherwise a public holiday.

 

The High Commission also informed that Indian visa application seekers may kindly note the above special provisions and visit IVACs accordingly for ensuring a smooth application process.
