In response to a question regarding two newly appointed officials in the press wing of the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi, Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that India looks forward to working with the High Commission to advance relations with Bangladesh.

During the weekly briefing of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi on Friday (July 24), a journalist asked whether India had any reaction to the appointment of two press officers at the Bangladesh High Commission in India who had previously been seen making anti-India and controversial posts.

In response, Randhir Jaiswal said, "We have seen that new officers have been appointed. We have been informed, and we look forward to working with the High Commission here to move our relationship forward."

When asked during the press conference whether the Indian Ministry of External Affairs was aware of the upcoming visit to Dhaka by the US Ambassador to India and what the purpose of that visit might be, Jaiswal stated that they had no information on the matter.

Regarding an invitation extended by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman of Bangladesh to attend the BRICS summit scheduled for September in New Delhi, a journalist raised a question, to which Randhir Jaiswal replied that he would speak on the matter at a later time.
