Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina leaves for Switzerland on Tuesday morning, June 13 to attend the 'World of Work Summit: Social Justice for All' to be held in Geneva on June 14-15.
A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage leave Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10 am.
The flight is expected to land at Geneva International Airport at 5:30pm local time.
On Wednesday, june 14, Filippo Grandi, Commissioner of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees will meet with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
PM Hasina will also meet with President of the Swiss Confederation Alain Berset, at the Palais des Nations. Later, there may be a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Bangladesh and Switzerland on knowledge and skills enhancement.
In the afternoon, the Prime Minister is scheduled to address the plenary of the 'World of Work Summit 2023' at the Palais de Nations. The Prime Minister will be greetd by ADG and Regional Director of ILO when she arrives there. A red carpet will be laid from the gate to the venue and a guard of honor will be provided.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will also meet with President of Malta George Vela. She will later meet with ILO Director General Gilbert Houngbo. She is expected to attend a dinner with high-level dignitaries hosted by the DG ILO at its headquarters in the evening.
On June 15, she is scheduled to attend 'A Talk at the WEF' after a meeting with WEF founder Professor Klaus Schwab at the World Economic Forum (WWF) office. There she will address the event titled 'New Economy and Society in Smart Bangladesh' organized by the World Economic Forum (WEF).
In the evening, Director general of the World Trade Organization Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala will meet the Prime Minister. And then, she will attend a community function.
Sheikh Hasina will leave Geneva International Airport for Dhaka at 11 am (local time) on June 16. She is scheduled to return to Dhaka on June 17.
