The price of gold has increased in the country's market. Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has raised the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 1,050 to Tk 1,10,213 per bhori.

A notification was issued on Monday (May 26) evening fixing the new price of gold. The new prices will be effective from Sunday (May 5).
However, the value of 22 carat (11.664 grams) gold would be worth Tk 1,10,213. Besides, the price of 21 carat gold has been fixed at Tk 1,5,197, 18 carat gold at Tk 90,174 per bhori.
