High Court ordered to submit the accounts of all movable and immovable assets of the government officials and employees every year.

The High Court bench comprising of Justice Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Kazi Ebadat Hossain passed the order in a hearing on Tuesday (July 2).

Before the order, the High Court said, 'We are surprised at the rate at which corruption is being reported in various media. Corruption is an obstacle to development and good governance, so it must be stopped at any cost. Not only the government but also the people should stand against corruption and build a movement.

The court also said that if you make golden people, you will make a golden country. It is not that government alone can prevent it; Everyone should work shoulder to shoulder. Social movement should be built against corruption.

Earlier on Monday, Supreme Court lawyer Subir Nandi Das filed a writ in this bench of the High Court seeking instructions to submit the account of the assets of the government officials and employees and publish them on the website. He accused 10 people including Cabinet Secretary, Public Administration Secretary, Home Secretary, ACC Chairman and Bangladesh Bank Governor.
