Due to the ongoing situation in the country, government primary schools have been closed for an indefinite period again.

Senior information officer of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Mahbubur Rahman Tuhin gave this information on Saturday (August 3) afternoon.

He said, we have withdrawn from the previous decision. Primary schools will remain closed from Sunday (August 4) until further notice.

Earlier, when violence broke out around the quota movement, classes were announced to closed in primary schools in the city corporation area of ​​the country on the night of July 17. However, at that time, district and upazila level primary schools across the country were operate.

On July 24, all primary schools across the country were ordered to be closed indefinitely. But on July 31, the government informed the government primary schools are opening from August 4. However, primary schools in 12 city corporations and municipal areas of Narsingdi are not opening now.
