At least 15 killed in clashes across Bangladseh
Widespread violence has started across the country around the non-cooperation movement. At least 15 people were reported dead.
On Sunday (August 4) from 11 am, the agitators started demonstrations and rallies in important places of the country including the capital. At the same time, the leaders and activists of Awami League also held a protest march. A large number of law enforcement personnel were deployed.
As the day progressed, the level of conflict became more and more intense. At least 15 people were killed in 9 districts including Pabna, Bogura, Barishal, Rangpur. Hundreds were injured.
Among them, 3 people were killed in Pabna and Feni, 2 people each in Munshiganj, Rangpur and Bogura, 1 person each in Magura, Cumilla, Barishal.
