Abu Taher Miah, the investigating officer of the case, appeared before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court of Dhaka and applied for a seven-day remand on Saturday (September 14). After the hearing, the judge granted his four-day remand.

Earlier on September 11, the victim Md. Rabiul Sunny filed an attempt to murder case at Dhaka's Ashulia police station. 30 people including Sheikh Hasina were accused in the case.

The other defendants in this case are former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, former UGC Secretary Dr. Ferdous Zaman, former Parliament Member Dr. Muhammad Alamgir, Dr. Biswajit Chandra, Dr. Md. Sajjad Hossain and many more.

Former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, his wife Lutful Tahmina Khan, and their son Safi Mudassir Khan have been hidden since Sheikh Hasina's leaving the country on August 5 in the face of the student uprising. On September 1, the court imposed a ban on them to leave the country.

Jyoti, who was arrested in the Savar massacre case, has serious allegations ranging from police promotion, transfer, and tender trading to supplying substandard materials to the Election Commission.
